RAMBAN, JULY 31: District Development Commissioner Showkat Aijaz Bhat today chaired a meeting of officers to review preparations for the 'Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2018’, a rural sanitation survey of Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation (MDWS) for national ranking of all states and districts of India on the basis of quantitative and qualitative sanitation (Swachhata) parameters.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Ravinder Sadhu, ACR, Vevaik Puri, ACD GH Kripak, DPO, Tariq Suhrawardy, CPO, Uttam Singh, AD Planning, Ganesh Kumar, CMO, CEO, besides other concerned.
The DDC constituted teams of officers comprising BDO, BMO, CDPO and ZEO for each block to successfully launch ‘Swachh Survekshan Grameen'.  He directed all the departments to ensure the sustainability of the efforts taken under SBM and impressed upon launching effective campaign through field functionaries of the concerned departments in Panchayats, educational and health institutions and Anganwari centres to aware masses about Survekshan and to facilitate surveying teams.
The District Panchayat Officer, Tariq Suhrawardy gave a detailed report on various aspects of Survekshan. He informed that the programme envisages detailed survey of Sanitation status of public places like schools, Anganwadis, bazaars etc. at district-level. Survey of public places, citizens' perspective of cleanliness, their recommendations and data from Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is the criteria of survey.
