UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 10: - The arrangements pertaining to Independence Day 2018 celebration were finalized here at a meeting of district officers of various departments held under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Ravinder Kumar.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Krishan Lal, ASP, Tabassum Parveen Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan, Assistant Commissioner Development, Noor Alam, District Information Officer, Er Sajad Bashir Somberia, Executive Engineer PHE, Ashok Sharma, District Social Welfare Officer, Vipan Bhagat, DYSSO, Sudesh Kumar, DTO, Dr. Lokesh Gupta, Registrar Co-operative Pardeep Singh, Chief Planning Officer, J.R Bhardwaj, AD Planning, Anil Sharma, besides other District Heads of various departments were present in the meeting.
It was decided that the main function would be held at Government PG Degree College for Boys, where the VIP would hoist the National flag at 9 A.M. The contingents drawn from Police, NCC and schools would participate in the march past.
It was also decided that District Information Centre, Udhampur shall play Shehnai Vaqdan from 5.30 AM to 6.30 A.M. in Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex and Town Hall, Udhampur.
Other arrangements including seating, barricading, drinking water, barricading uninterrupted power supply, sanitation, medicare, transportation, security, refreshment, were also discussed and finalized to make the event a grand success.
The DDC directed the departments to adopt coordinated approach and ensure that all arrangements are made well in advance. He called upon the officers and employees to celebrate the auspicious day with patriotic fervor and gaiety by making their presence with their families and friends at the venue of main function.
