RAJOURI, AUGUST 06: District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad on Sunday   reviewed the progress on mega developmental projects and action taken report on decisions taken for resolving issues of public interest.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner A S Chib, Chief Planning Officer A H Choudhary, S E PWD Majid Khan, S E Hydraulics Rafiq Khan, ACD Akhtar Hussain Qazi, CEO RDA Dr Tahir Firdous, Executive Engineers from, R&B, PHE, I&FC, PDD and concerned District/Sectoral officers.
The DDC stressed upon concerned officers to complete the ongoing projects within stipulated timeframe   and create durable and tangible assets. The officers were asked to work with added zeal and dedication and in close coordination for the development of the district.
He stressed prioritizing the completion of major projects including Ans Irrigation Canal, WSS Ans at Kandigala, Eco Park PatliQila, Indoor Stadium at Koteranka, Milk village Argi, Project Tameer envisaging construction of 100 school buildings presently run from temporary accommodations, G&B Hostel at Nagrota, Abdullah bridge-Hospital, Rajouri-Kandi and Koteranka-Khawas roads besides major bridge projects including MEC- Vidanta Ashram and Badala Mang-Panjpeer bridges.
Thread bare discussion was held on the board decisions taken during 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19. The chair directed the concerned officers to implement   the board decisions in time bound manner as these are involve greater public interest. He further said that any laxity in this regard shall be dealt strictly.
The DDC was informed about the progress made under different schemes and programmes. He also reviewed the initiatives taken for improving skill development and capacity building of the beneficiaries under   flagship central and state-sponsored schemes and programmes.
He reviewed the existing schemes under Roads and buildings, Public Health, Irrigation, Flood Control, Mechanical Irrigation, Power Development Department and STD sectors and stressed on motivating people living in the far-flung area to take the benefits of various schemes and programme.
The meeting decided to frame a comprehensive skill development plan involving different departments to create employment avenues for the unemployed youth. He stressed on achieving 100 percent utilization of available funds and implementation of the DDB meeting decisions.
